​​Entering his 23rd year in public arts education he is the first Artistic Director in the history of The School of Arts & Enterprise.  He has previously served The SAE as the first Executive Producer in the history of the school, the Director of Theatre and the Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair.  Leading all aspects of Arts & Enterprise at The School of Arts & Enterprise, his commitment to cross circular arts education, expansive programming and arts accessibility is at core of his artistic philosophies championed at The SAE.   Under Miller's dynamic leadership, The SAE has been named an Arts School Network National Exemplary School (2018-2023), the recipient of a California Department of Education Exemplary Arts Program Award (2021-23) and continues as an Career Technical Education Arts, Media and Entertainment Professional Development Site. During his tenure he has secured over $850,000 in state funding for SAE ARTS programs.

Miller is a frequent presenter at national arts conferences, speaking on a range of topics from arts accessibility to audience engagement to the role and impact of new media in the arts and educational field today.  With his extensive professional work and experience in the educational setting, one of his strongest assets is his unique ability to align educational institutional strategies to that of the professional arts world.  His new Master Class Series - highlighting artists of color from diverse backgrounds and experiences - “and now it’s YOUR turn…” premiered in July 2020 with some of the most influential artists in the country in conversation and practice.  Miller is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographer’s Society and an alumnus of Lincoln Center’s Directors Lab West.  He currently serves on the national Board of Directors for Arts Schools Network, the Inland Valley Repertory Theater and is the Vice President of The Friends of The SAE and has led the creation of The School of Arts + Enterprise Foundation writing the next chapter of The SAE’s fund development and culture of philanthropy.
